How many pavers are on a pallet?
A pallet (bundle) of standard 60 mm (2-3/8 in) 4 × 8 in concrete pavers usually holds 480–540 pieces, covers about 100–120 sq ft and weighs about 2,900–3,300 lb. Thicker 80 mm pavers come about 80–95 sq ft to a pallet at similar weight.
Pavers are sold by the pallet or "bundle", and producers publish the square footage and weight per bundle for each product. Because thicker pavers weigh more per square foot, a pallet of thick pavers covers less area.

These are published examples from producer and retailer data. They show the typical range; your product's spec sheet is authoritative.
| Product (example) | Pieces per pallet | Coverage | Weight per pallet |
|---|---|---|---|
| 4 × 8 in, 60 mm (Unilock Hollandstone) | 540 | 118 sq ft (11.0 m²) | 3,229 lb (1,465 kg) |
| 4 × 8 in, 60 mm (Pavestone Holland) | 480 | about 103 sq ft (9.6 m²) | about 2,900 lb (est.) |
| 4 × 8 in, 80 mm (Unilock Hollandstone) | 378 | 82.6 sq ft (7.7 m²) | about 2,900 lb (1,315 kg) |
| 24 × 24 in slab, 60 mm (Belgard Dimensions) | 20 (est.) | 80 sq ft (7.4 m²) | ask supplier |
| Large-format 50 mm slab (Unilock example) | varies | 80 sq ft (7.4 m²) | 1,833 lb (831 kg) |
Across the 60 mm products in one producer's 2026 guide, bundles ran from about 90 to 120 sq ft and about 2,300 to 3,250 lb. Weight per square foot is roughly 26–28 lb for 60 mm concrete pavers, and about 35 lb for 80 mm.
How much does a pallet of pavers weigh?
Plan on roughly 2,300–3,300 lb (1,050–1,500 kg) for a full pallet, plus 40–70 lb for the pallet. See how much a pallet weighs. A full pallet exceeds the payload of most half-ton pickups and many single-axle trailers, so check the door-jamb payload label and trailer GVWR. Set pallets on firm ground: a 3,000 lb pallet on a 48 × 40 in footprint puts about 225 lb per sq ft on the surface, which can crack pavers already laid or sink into soft lawn.
What decides the count
- Thickness. 60 mm is typical for patios and walks, 80 mm for driveways. Thicker units weigh more, so fewer fit under the same weight target.
- Unit shape. Pavers are made in layers on a production board, and each product has a fixed layer pattern and number of layers (the Ti-Hi of the bundle). Multi-piece patterns ship as mixed layers.
- Plant. The same product can have different bundle sizes at different plants.
- Full bundles only. Some producers sell only full bundles.
How to calculate what you need
- Measure the area in square feet.
- Add 5–10% for cuts (more for diagonal patterns and curves).
- Divide by the square feet per pallet on the spec sheet and round up.
- For edges, use the soldier or sailor linear feet per bundle if the producer lists them.
For your own unit loads, the cases per pallet calculator finds the best layer pattern for a unit size and pallet.
Pallet deposits
Refundable pallet charges are common with pavers. Unilock's data guide, for example, notes products are "sold on a required, refundable skid". Dealers usually credit the charge when the pallet comes back undamaged within their return window. Keep the pallets dry and stacked, and ask your dealer for the amount and terms.

Frequently asked questions
How many 4x8 pavers per square foot?
About 4.5 pieces per square foot for a 4 × 8 in (100 × 200 mm) paver laid with narrow joints.
Can I buy a partial pallet of pavers?
Some producers sell full bundles only. Many dealers split pallets for a fee or sell by the piece. Ask before you plan the delivery.
Why does the sq ft per pallet differ between colors of the same paver?
Different plants may make the same product, and each plant sets its own layer and bundle configuration. Check the spec for the plant that will supply you.

- What fits on a palletHow many cinder blocks are on a pallet?A standard cube (pallet) of 8 × 8 × 16 in concrete blocks usually holds 90 blocks, though some producers ship 72. Typical cubes are 150 of 4 in, 120 of 6 in and about 60 of 12 in block. A cube of 8 in block weighs roughly 3,000–3,600 lb and builds about 80 sq ft of wall.

New green hardwood pallets sit at the top of that range and dry ones near the bottom. A EUR pallet weighs about 25 kg (55 lb), pooled 48 × 40 block pallets about 60 to 70 lb, and plastic pallets 14 to 70 lb depending on type.
